The following Privacy Policy describes what information we collect from you during your use of our website, and how we treat that information in order to protect your privacy. Your use of, and/or registration to HiveSight constitutes your agreement to this privacy policy. We encourage you to read and understand it.

We know that very few people actually read this thing, so here's a short version of the policy. For full disclosure, please read the entire document.
We collect information about your usage of the our website. Some of it may constitute private information. We treat our customers with respect, so we treat their information with respect. We only use the information for the purpose of improving customer experience. We do not sell, share or publish it.

We do not rely on advertising to generate revenue. You, the user, are our only customer and thus the success of our company relies on your satisfaction. We hope that this reassures you that we mean what we say here.

1. The Information We Collect

HiveSight stores your usage history of our website. That includes the information that you entered (such as search queries and login information), information that is supplied by your web browser (such as the type of browser and your OS), the links that you clicked on our website, and the dates and times when you performed these actions. We use cookies, web server logs and various other tools for web analytics. Some information is stored by us in a personally identifiable manner, i.e. it is tied to your user account. Other general information is stored on site usage that is not tied to any specific user. In some cases, we use third party tools to log website usage statistics, in which case some of this data (but not the personally-identifiable data) may be accessible to those third parties.

2. What We Do With It

We use the collected information for two purposes:
(a) Improve your user experience by trying to customize the software behavior to your requirements, as determined by your usage patterns.
(b) Improve the overall website usability and performance based on common usage patterns collected from all users.

If you register and provide your email address, we may, from time to time, use this address to communicate with you. Primarily, we use our website and blogs for letting our users know about new features, soliciting feedback and just keeping up to date in general. We will send out email sparingly - the last thing we want is to be blacklisted as spammers!

We may disclose the private information that we collected, but only when required to do so by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of HiveSight, third parties or the public at large.

3. What We Never Ever Do

We shall never sell your information to others or publish it without your prior written and explicit consent. That includes information that seems anonymous but could turn out not to be. We don't share your information with affiliates or other "carefully selected" companies.

4. How We Protect It

We make every reasonable effort to store your information in a secure manner. Please note that no computer system is ever completely secure, not even the DoD's. We cannot guarantee that the information that you provide us will remain secure, only that we make an effort in good faith to keep it so. In the event that we come to believe that the security of your private information stored in our system has been compromised, we shall seek to notify you.

HiveSight discloses user information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (a) need to know that information in order to process it on HiveSight's behalf or to provide services available at HiveSight's websites, and (b) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.

5. What if We Change Our Minds

If we change our minds, we'll let you know first. Any material change to this privacy policy will be published on this page, and communicated to registered users via the email address that they supplied during registration. If you are not a registered user yet, we encourage you to register. If we don't know who you are, we won't be able to communicate such information to you...

6. Your Feedback

If you have any concerns or questions about any aspect of this policy, please email us at contact@hivesight.com. We encourage customer feedback of any kind and on any matter.
