HiveSight generates consumer market research reports based on information collected from web-based consumer-generated media (CGM), including social networks, blogs and other forms of social media. People use such media to tell of themselves, their life events, their opinions and perceptions, their interests, needs and wants. We analyze this raw information using advanced language processing algorithms in order to construct their consumer profiles. At the moment we have over 20 million such profiles of American consumers. Our profiles go beyond the basic demographic information such as age, sex and place of residence, to include personal and professional interests, brand awareness and preferences, media habits and recreational activities and hobbies. We apply our unique indexing and report generation technologies to this collection of consumer profiles to a bring web search engine-like approach to market research: type in a query to search the entire database in an instant and generate reports that aggregate the data on millions of consumers on the spot. |
